We are excited to bring the state developed Math Achievement Academies to Region 12. These academies are provided based on Senate Bill 934, of the 84th Texas Legislature, 2015. In accordance with this bill and available funds, registration will be prioritized in order to serve as many of the identified eligible campuses. These math academies are for teachers who provide mathematics instruction to students at the kindergarten, first, second, or third grade level.

  • Eligible Campuses

    • The academies are provided at no cost for qualified attendees.
    • All campuses are eligible to attend with the exception of private schools

    Qualified Attendees:

    • In order to qualify, participating teachers must provide instruction directly to students in the appropriate grade level and content area. For example, to attend the Grade K-1 Math Academy the teacher should be a classroom teacher or interventionist who directly provides math instruction to kindergarten or 1st grade students.
    • Teachers who provide "direct instruction" include classroom teachers, special education teachers, and interventionists.
    • Curriculum specialists, instructional coaches, or other staff positions who work with teachers but do not regularly provide direct instruction to students may only attend if no one else from the campus is able to attend.
