Education Service Center Region 12 has adopted a Digital Convergence Initiative designed to assist our region’s schools in making the fundamental change needed to meet the needs of today’s learners. We refer to this initiative as transformED. We are transforming our professional development delivery system to a more personalized approach that incorporates a blended learning model and flexible learning spaces.

As educators, we have the chance to take traditional education and transform it to meet the needs of modern learners. Join us for a new kind of conference where you can explore ways to engage today's learners. The TransformED Conferences are intended to encourage educators to get inspired, get informed, get connected and take action by shining a light on modern learning practices. This new academy will give you opportunities to get informed, get connected, and learn to inspire others.

Made up of three levels, this academy will include specific professional development experiences that you will be able to tailor to your interests, ongoing support from ESC specialists and teachers across the region and more!

The Active Learning Institute Student Engagement Network, or ALISEN, is ESC Region 12's next generation professional development model that can meet all the needs of individuals, campuses and districts as they move towards effective, innovative, student-centered instructional practices.

Active learning is a critical component of modern learning and focuses on increasing student cognitive engagement in the classroom. Professional development opportunities delivered through ALISEN will allow teachers to approach active learning instruction through the lenses of pedagogy, action research and/or technology.

Personalized Learning Opportunities

A personalized, comprehensive plan to move your district toward YOUR modern learning goals. 

Through this program, our team will assist your leadership team and staff successfully implement a device initiative for your campus or district. We work with schools and initiatives of all sizes. We will address:

  • What will your leadership look like and how your teachers fit into that vision?
  • What is your district's vision for a successful implementation?
  • What are all of those details that need to be answered and refined?
  • Is your infrastructure ready?
  • If your vision sustainable?
  • How involved is the community?

These models allow our specialists to support teachers concerning best practices. Blended and virtual coaching provides:

  • Convenience - Recordings can be made any day for specific classes.
  • Self-reflection - Observing themselves
  • No class interruption - No formal observers in the room

Our blended coaching model provides both face-to-face and virtual support while virtual coaching is exclusively online.
