Texas Strategic Leadership

ESC Region 12 is involved in the TEA pilot for Texas Strategic Leadership and Effective District Framework.

Texas Strategic Leadership (TSL) walks school districts through a two year comprehensive program to build a long-range strategic plan and then implement performance management around the plan. The process in year one includes analyzing the current state of the district and then utilizing that data to create a plan focused on the student experience and student outcomes.

After the strategic plan is created, the ESC 12 team assists the district in year two with assigning metrics and managing the performance of initiatives decided upon by the district. The Texas Strategic Leadership (TSL) prioritizes the importance of systems thinking, performance management, executive coaching, strategic leadership, landscape analysis, and capacity building.
