Teachers of Tomorrow, one of the nation’s largest alternative certification providers and the leading program in Texas, has partnered with Education Service Center Region 12 to expand access to teacher certification pathways for aspiring educators and school districts across Central Texas.
This collaboration is designed to combine Teachers of Tomorrow’s certification infrastructure and candidate support with ESC Region 12’s deep district relationships, regional expertise, and commitment to supporting educators and school personnel in their efforts to improve student outcomes.
“Meeting the growing need for certified teachers requires strong partnerships and innovative solutions,” said Dr. Kenny Berry, Executive Director of ESC Region 12. “Together with Teachers of Tomorrow, we are creating more pathways into the profession while providing our districts with the support they need to build and sustain a high-quality educator workforce.”
Texas continues to face a growing demand for certified teachers, particularly in high-need subject areas and rural communities. Through this partnership, Teachers of Tomorrow and ESC Region 12 will work together to help districts identify, support, and prepare aspiring educators for certification and classroom placement.
By aligning local outreach and district engagement with a flexible, accessible certification pathway, the partnership is intended to help expand the teacher pipeline while providing candidates with clear guidance, practical support, and resources throughout the certification process.
“This partnership represents a meaningful step toward solving one of the most urgent challenges in education — ensuring every classroom has a qualified, certified teacher,” said Dr. Heath Morrison, CEO of Teachers of Tomorrow and former Texas superintendent.
ESC Region 12 will serve as the local point of connection for school districts and education leaders interested in learning more about the partnership, certification pathways, and available support for future teachers.
