- WACO, Texas – The Twenty-first Annual State School Bus Safety Speech Contest was held yesterday at Education Service Center (ESC) Region 12 in Waco. The topic for this year's speech contest was “1 Bus + 1 Driver = A Big Impact on Education.” Twenty-eight students from across the state competed for scholarship money.
The speech contest included three award levels for grades 9, 10, 11 and 12 with differing award amounts. The overall 1st place finisher will present their speech at the TAPT Conference in June 2022 in Corpus Christi, Texas.
