The ESC Region 12 Technology Foundation’s 2017-18 Instructional Technology Grant applications are now open. Applicants have until 4 p.m. Friday, January 26, 2018 to complete applications. (If mailing, applicants should leave ample time for receipt.)

For grant writing preparation and tips, ESC Region 12 will host a FREE Grant Application Workshop 3 to 4 p.m. Tuesday, November 7, 2017 at 2101 West Loop 340 in Waco.

The Instructional Technology Grants are designed to encourage, facilitate, recognize and reward innovative and creative instructional approaches through the use of technology. To be considered, the grants must enhance student academic performance and support the objectives, goals and initiatives of the Campus Improvement Plan and/or District Improvement Plan. 

Grants of up to $5,000 for individual teacher-initiated programs or projects and up to $10,000 to campus teams, departments and for district/charter-initiated programs or projects will be considered, and winners will be announced in late March. To be eligible, applicants must be from a public school within the Region 12 territory.

Since the Foundation’s beginning in 2012, nearly $280,000 in funds have been awarded to 31 school districts and two charter schools. Nearly $70,000 was awarded to nine schools in 2017, alone.
