Elementary & Secondary School Emergency Relief (ESSER)

October 2024 

• Complete your final ESSER drawdowns if you have not already.
• Ensure you have met your 20% set-aside requirements. Click for here the ESSER Closeout Tool to assist you.
• You can remove your ESSER required postings from your school website.
• Make sure all appropriate personnel have access to WorkApps for your district. Click here for WorkApps Instructions.
• Complete Phase 1 of the ESSER USDE Year 5 report in WorkApps. Click here the Phase 1 Playbook from ESC Region 12.

  For these reports you will need:

  • 23-24 Campus level FTEs for the following positions per campus [SCHOOLS]:

    • SpEd: included related services and paraprofessionals

    • ESL/Bilingual

    • Counselors

    • Nurses

  • A knowledge of how much ESSER money was spent for salaries and tally of the number of staff in each position held from 9/1/23-8/31/24,  including stipends [CROSSACT]

  • District-level student demographic data from the 23-24 school year [CROSSACT]

  • If applicable, student participant counts for ESSER funded activities drawn down from 9/1/23-8/31/24 (evidence-based summer school/after school/tutoring, educational technology) [CROSSACT]

  • District level FTE data from fall 24-25 school  year (not currently available) [CROSSACT]
