TX Instructional Leadership

Texas Instructional Leadership (TIL) is a professional development opportunity for district and campus instructional leaders to build their leadership capacity.

TIL aligns to the Effective School Framework (ESF) and the works of Paul Bambrick-Santoyo. ESC Region 12 provides research-based, practice driven training grounded in the See It-Name It-Do It coaching approach to enhance student learning and performance. Effective TIL practices embrace a “coaching for all” mentality, beginning with the principal supervisor and moving down through the teacher. 

There are multiple pathways for capacity development within TIL. It is highly recommended that the campus engage in an Effective Schools Framework Diagnostic prior to engaging in TIL. This diagnostic will provide the campus a view of prioritized essential actions which will impact growth and improvement most for their specific campus.
