A-F Accountability

The 85th Legislature passed HB 22, changing the Texas school accountability system so that every campus and district receives ratings from A-F through a Domain system.

The law requires schools and districts to be issued grades based on three different areas of performance or “domains,” and those three grades must be combined into a single overall rating. To support a full understanding of the A-F system, TEA has created an A-F Resources Page.

- Every district that receives Title I, Part A funding is responsible for distributing the state, district, and campus level report cards to each of its campuses, the parents of all enrolled students, and the general public.
The ESSA program is a part of the Results Driven Accountability (RDA) system. The RDA system is utilized to assign required intervention activities to a local education agency (LEA) based on annual performance on individual indicators or patterns across indicators.
