CREDIT RECOVERY MIDDLE SCHOOL & HIGH SCHOOL COURSES
Give your students the credit they deserve - with a diagnostics-based credit recovery program. Advanced Academics Credit Recovery Program begins with two auto-graded tests that gauge a student's mastery of course concepts. Based on test results, we tailor a credit recovery course that addresses the student's deficiencies. Download the Credit Recovery flier for more information. Visit the Online Credit Recovery web page to sign up your students.

ORIGINAL CREDIT MIDDLE SCHOOL & HIGH SCHOOL COURSES
ESC Region 12 provides original credit online middle school and high school student courses. These courses cover core subjects, electives and Advanced Placement. High School core courses cover 100% of the TEKS required for each course, are taught at the appropriate Bloom's level, are NCAA recognized, and are taught by Texas-certified highly qualified teachers. Download the Online Courses brochure for a list of available courses.

TEXAS VIRTUAL SCHOOL NETWORK
The 80th Texas Legislature set up the Texas Virtual School Network (TxVSN) to provide high school students with a rich and engaging virtual learning environment. An allotment was established to fund courses taken through the TxVSN.

The 82nd Texas Legislature repealed the virtual school allotment. All courses offered through the network are now fee-based.

ESC Region 12 serves as a provider district in the Texas Virtual School Network (TxVSN) in partnership with Advanced Academics. A list of available courses from ESC Region 12 is available for download. That list will also be available in the TxVSN High School Courses Catalog on the Texas Virtual School Network website.

Districts participating in courses offered through the TxVSN will be billed by the TxVSN for the courses taken directly following the 14 school day drop period. The 14 school day drop period provides 14 days from the course start date for a student to drop a course without academic or financial penalty for a non-continuous enrollment course. This period starts on the student enrollment date for a continuous enrollment course. A 4 day drop period is provided for an accelerated course.

VIRTUAL LEARNING FUNDING
The Texas Education Agency released a To The Administrator Addressed Communication concerning the Texas Virtual School Network on Friday, October 21st. That letter is available for your review on the TEA website.

Of particular interest to receiving school districts is the availability of Virtual Learning Scholarships for courses offered through the Network. VL Scholarship guidelines including a list of districts and charters by priority, as well as, the application is available on the TxVSN homepage. Key contact people in the districts designated as Priority 1 were notified of the opportunity and timelines. Webinars are also accessible via the TxVSN website on the topic of VL Scholarships.
