In 2014, a partnership began between Huckabee, Education Service Center (ESC) Region 12 and Baylor creating the Learning Experience Collaborative.  The LEx Collaborative, located at the Baylor Research and Innovation Collaborative (BRIC) conducts research at the intersection of professional development and the built environment to determine impact on student engagement and the learning experience.  Additionally, the collaborative seeks to empower all stakeholders through immersive experiences, equipping them with data, research-based knowledge and access to a variety of professional services for increasing student engagement and success. 

 

The collaborative is comprised of three primary focus areas: Learning Experience Laboratories (LEx Labs), Learning Experience Impact (LEx Impact) and Learning Experience Research (LEx Research).   

 

The collaborative’s joint expertise is unique in its ability to make authentic advancements in education through the intentional design of the built environment and personalized professional development driven by rigorous research. Our efforts are enhanced by the inclusion of experts across all aspects of education, working collectively to optimize the learning experience and committed to improving awareness regarding the transformational power of instilling in children a love of learning.

    Traveling from the South- 100 Research Parkway Waco, TX 76704
    Travel north on I35
    take exit 330B and navigate onto N Loop 340/Hwy 6 (towards Marlin),
    exit University Parks Drive,
    travel down the access road and turn left onto University Parks Drive,
    turn right at La Salle Ave/Business Hwy 77,
    exit at Frontage Road exit
    enter BRIC front gate on the right.  


    Traveling from the North- 100 Research Parkway Waco, TX 76704
    Travel south on I35
    take exit 339 (N Loop 340)
    travel down the access road and turn left at the stop light onto S Loop 340/Hwy 6
    travel down S Loop 340/Hwy 6 to Orchard Lane and turn right 
    travel Orchard Lane to Business Hwy 77 and turn right onto the frontage road
    enter BRIC front gate on the right
