ESC Region 12 is pleased
to offer the Video Streaming
Service to Region 12 campuses for the 2011-2012 school
year through a partnership with Discovery Education. This great resource offers teachers and students
the ability to access digital resources on demand from
Discovery Education streaming™ via the Internet for use in the
classroom.
Videostreaming
Member List
Users access videostreaming via the Internet and
have the ability to stream or download video. This
web-based
digital video delivery application provides:50,000
video content clips and 6,200 full video titles (550+ in Spanish) available
for streaming and downloading. The collection also includes:
- 1500+ Closed Caption titles for visual learners,
hearing impaired and ESL students
- Image library with over
20,000 images, including 2,000 geography images
- Clip Art Gallery
with over 1,200 images
- Teacher's
guides and worksheets to supplement digital resources
- 26,000+ encyclopedia
articles
- STEM Connect (career videos and learning activities)
- Calendar of important
dates in history linked to video clips
- 150+ pre-made Lesson Plans correlated to videos
- 150+ Theme pages
- Online assignment builders
- Interactive World Atlas
- Discovery Educator Network containing thousands of peer-to-peer educator resources
- Playlist(s)
to bookmark video clips for later use

the cost for this service. All
member campuses must complete and return a Videostreaming
Membership Packet prior to start of service.
A full-day Training of Trainer session is provided
for at least one person per participating campus at
no cost. Others may attend for the regular per-seat
fee.
Districts may contract
with ESC Region 12 to deliver a full-day hands-on workshop
onsite.
