ESC Region 12 Comprehensive School Health
program offers diverse topics to provide technical
assistance and staff development to communities and
schools. The Physical Education and Health
specialists works with administrators, school boards,
parents, faculty and staff to teach and assist students
in making healthier choices. The specialist assists
in coordinating effective preventive resources and
professional staff development with communities and
schools.

Screenings:
- Diabetic Care for Unlicensed Personnel (annual
refresher) Annual refresher training for all UDCA employees who attended full training previous year.

Please be advised that if an individual does not attend
a recertification vision or hearing training prior
to December 31st of their 5th year of being certified
they must attend the basic all day workshop/s. For
example, if anniversary date for certificate is July
2005, the certificate expires December 31st of the
expiration year (2005), NOT the 5 year anniversary
of taking the class.
A nurse may earn Type I CNEs for attending designated
sessions/workshops.
Counselors, social workers and psychologists may earn
LPC/SW/CEU credit for attending designated sessions/workshops.

provider of continuing nursing education by Texas
Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the
American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission
on Accreditation. This activity meets Type I criteria
for mandatory continuing education requirements toward
relicensure as established by the Board of Nurse
