ESC Region 12 has arranged for districts to participate in a Co-operative arrangement with ESC Region 20 to provide, at a reduced rate, drug testing and physical examination services. A licensed third-party firm conducts the testing. The services available include:

• Drug and alcohol testing services for bus drivers in accordance with current U.S. Dept. of Transportation and Federal Highway Administration regulations
• On-site annual school bus driver physical examination in accordance with U. S. Department of Transportation and Texas Department of Public Safety regulations, and
• On-site student drug and alcohol testing in accordance with current applicable state laws and regulations. Districts may participate in any or all of the three services listed.
