Crisis Management and Recovery services are offered by ESC Region 12 as an additional service to educators beyond the Safe and Drug Free Schools program. Services provided include:

• The Region 12 Crisis Management Plan Template is available on-line to help schools and districts prepare for crisis situations. Training is offered throughout the year or on an on-site campus / district contract basis.
• The Region 12 Crisis Recovery Team is available to all Region 12 districts and schools for assistance after crisis events, such as the unexpected death of a student. The Region 12 Crisis Response Team consists of counselors, nurses, and administrators who have been trained in trauma victim assistance. Region 12 Crisis Response Team Basic Training is offered once each semester.
• Campus Safety Assessments are available on half-day or full-day workshop rates. The assessments involve an on-site visit to the school to assess interior and exterior facility hazards, campus discipline and crisis management plans, student behavior, parking and student drop-off / pick-up areas, and overall school climate. The results are compiled into a report and presented to the school's administration and / or site-based committee in a formal presentation with photos.
