Crisis Management and Recovery services are offered by ESC Region 12 as an additional service to educators beyond the Safe and Drug Free Schools program. Services provided include:

• The ESC Region 12 Crisis Recovery Team (CRT) operates in zones and is available to all Region 12 districts and schools for assistance after crisis events, such as the death of a student or employee. Members of the CRT consist of counselors, nurses, administrators and community members who have been trained in trauma victim assistance. CRT Basic Training is scheduled in each of the zones.
• District Safety Audits are available upon request. Cost is calculated based on district size and details. The audits involve on-site visits to the district for one or more days. The audit team assesses both interior and exterior facility hazards, discipline data, campus improvement plans, emergency operation plans, overall school climate including student behavior and staff morale, parking, and student drop-off and pick-up areas, both by district transportation and private vehicles.
