Our Counselors’ Co-op will offer
the latest up-to-date training, technical assistance,
informational updates, and networking for all counselors.
When you become a member of this co-op, you will receive
the following:
- Ethical and legal implications in the field
of counseling
- The Developmental Guidance Program
required of all schools as stated in SB 158
- GEAR
UP materials for parents, students and teachers as
outlined in HB 713
- Personal Graduation Plan
(PGP) support/Graduation plans
- LPC credit
hours for Licensed Professional Counselors for the
purpose of license renewal including ethics workshops
- Materials
and programs that assist counselors in the performance
of their duties
- Requirements in maintaining
the Academic Achievement Records
- Collaboration
with education specialists in Special Education,
Safe and Drug Free Schools, ESL, CTE, Title I, School
Nurses, Parent Involvement, Accountability, and Core
Curriculum in offering workshops for counselors
- “Best
Practices” counseling programs
