Child Nutrition

ESC Region 12 provides technical assistance and support for new and experienced cafeteria managers in Cafeteria Supervisor / Director Services. The monthly visits address issues that often cause concern for the Coordinated Review Effort (CRE) visits. ESC Region 12 provides prepared menus for participating districts that meet all TEA and USDA requirements and guidelines.

Services include:

  • Monthly on-site visits by ESC specialists
  • Review of cafeteria records and budgets
  • Review of production records
  • Guidance for purchasing and preparation
  • A 4-week cycle menu to be used throughout the school year
  • Analysis with menus and production records
  • Technical assistance from a registered dietitian
