Principal Preparation and Certification Program Accepting Applications for Fall 2010 Cohort WACO, TEXAS – The Education Service Center Region 12 Principal Preparation and Certification Program (PPCP) is accepting applications through September 10, 2010 for the Fall, 2010 cohort. Any persons interested in attending any of the informational meetings is invited to attend. No registration is necessary for these free meetings. The Principal Preparation and Certification Program is designed to improve student performance by training prospective school leaders in policies, practices, and constructs imperative to effective and successful school leadership. Upon completion of the training sessions, participants then begin an Internship. As an intern, participants are required to fulfill specific duties on the school campus that are determined to expose the intern to the administrative role. Once the Internship has been completed, participants are then eligible to receive recommendation for a Standard Certificate for Principals. Training sessions will be held at ESC Region 12 Waco. The full cost of the program is $5,500.00, which does not include fees for testing, for adding the Principal certificate to your educator record, or for ILD/PDAS certification.
