Special Education Conference to be held June 24-26 in Waco
Topics to focus on Autism, Behavior and Early Childhood
WACO, TEXAS-- Building a strong, cohesive school environment for students with disabilities is the theme for the Region 12 Special Education Conference that will be held June 24-26 at McLennan Community College Conference Center at 4601 N. 19th St. in Waco. This conference combines the Autism, Behavior and Early Childhood conferences previously held as separate events.
The first two days of the conference will offer a wide array of topics including issues regarding authentic assessment, literacy, applied behavior analysis, positive behavior management, Time to Teach, Sensory Tools, and social communication. Day three will culminate with a closing keynote, “From Your Heart to Your Hands,” by Dr. Eric Cupp with Seminars Unlimited.
This conference is open to teachers, parents, paraprofessionals, administrators, family members and anyone who is involved in raising and educating a child with unique learning needs. TSHA credits have been approved.
