Emergency Planning Training Held
on February 28th and 29th
WACO, TEXAS - The local Emergency Management Agency,
the Governor’s
Division of Emergency Management and ESC Region 12
are jointly hosting "G362 - Multi-Hazards Emergency
Planning for Schools" on February 28th and 29th
at the Education Service Center in Waco.
The session will target school district personnel
and representatives of agencies and organizations
that are responsible for developing plans for schools
to prepare for and respond to emergencies, and emergency
management personnel who require a basic understanding
of emergency planning for schools to assist in the
process.
This course is designed to help participants recognize
the need to plan for all types of disasters. Since
planning is a process, planning is included in every
unit and activity. Participants completing the course
will be able to explain the importance of a school
safety program to others and to lead individuals
in their schools and community through the process
of developing an effective multi-hazard program.
To register, participants should complete a DEM
Training Application and return it by mail or FAX to:
