13th ANNUAL REGION 12 PARAPROFESSIONAL CELEBRATION SCHEDULED FOR APRIL 4, 2007
The 13th Annual Region 12 Paraprofessional Celebration conference will be held Wednesday, April 4, 2007 at Education Service Center (ESC) Region 12, in Waco.
This special event will give participants the opportunity to meet and exchange ideas with colleagues and obtain continuing professional education credit. The Celebration will focus on topics ranging from student achievement to organizational skills. Participants will also find sessions enabling them to enhance their NCLB Highly Qualified skills.
Participants will learn how to assist teachers in improving student achievement, how to work efficiently and effectively in a school setting, and how to manage students. They will also learn how to develop and maintain relationships with students and parents, but most importantly, participants will celebrate their unique and vital role in educating ALL children.
The opening address, Hilarity Therapy will be presented by John Irvin of Lifestyle Enhancement Services. Mr. Irvin is an expert in the area of stress management, humor, and attitude enrichment. The cost of the event is $65.
Individuals interested in attending the event must register by March 31, 2007, because seating is limited.
