WACO TO HOST TEXAS EDUCATION SERVICE
CENTERS’ LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE JUNE 2-4, 2006
| WHAT: |
The boards of trustees and executive directors for each of the twenty Education Service Centers (ESCs) across Texas will join each other for the Annual Texas Association of Education Service Centers (TAESC) Conference. The board members are the governing entities for the ESCs who provide professional training and technical assistance for the purpose of improving student performance for all students. The conference is expected to draw nearly 200 attendees. |
| WHEN/WHERE: |
Conference training, presentations and activities will take place throughout the weekend. (see attached program for more details)
- 5:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m., Friday, Waco Hilton
- 9:15 a.m. – 11:30 a.m., ESC Region 12 &
6:30 p.m. – 8 p.m., Brazos Belle
- 8:30 a.m. – 11 a.m., Waco Hilton

The state conference is coordinated and hosted by a different ESC each year. This year’s conference is hosted by ESC Region 12 and will feature the following presenters:
- Steve Knagg, Director of Communications, Garland ISD & Humorist/Motivational Speaker
- Dr. Shirley Neeley, Texas Commissioner of Education
(via video-conference)
- Dr. John Hoyle, Professor of Educational Administration, Texas A&M University
- Grant Teaff, American Football Coaches Association
- Dr. Helen Soule’, Executive Director, Cable in the Classroom
