12th ANNUAL REGION 12 PARAPROFESSIONAL
CELEBRATION
SCHEDULED FOR APRIL 6, 2006
“12th Anniversary Celebration: Spotlight
on You” is the theme for the 12th
Annual Region 12 Paraprofessional Celebration.
The conference will be held Thursday, April 6,
2006 at Education Service Center (ESC) Region 12,
in Waco.
This special event will give participants
the opportunity to meet and exchange ideas with
colleagues and obtain continuing professional education
credit. The Celebration will focus on topics ranging
from student related subjects to personal self-improvement
areas. Participants will find sessions enabling
them to enhance their NCLB Highly Qualified skills
to assist with reading, writing and math instruction
in the classroom as well.
Participants will learn how to assist teachers
to improve student achievement, work efficiently
and effectively in a school setting, and manage emergency
situations. They will also learn how to develop and
maintain relationships with students and parents,
but most importantly, participants will celebrate
their unique and vital role in educating ALL children.
The opening address Creating a Learning Environment will
be presented by Grant Teaff, Executive Director,
American Football Coaches Association. The closing
address How Important am I? Very! will be
presented by Jeannette Hall, Independent consultant.
The event costs $65, which includes a continental
breakfast and afternoon snacks.
Individuals interested
in attending the event must register
by March 31, 2006 because seating
is limited.
