PARENT SESSION ABOUT REAUTHORIZED EDUCATION
LAW FOR STUDENTS WITH
DISABILITIES SCHEDULED FOR NOV. 3

Education Service Center (ESC)
Region 12 is hosting a free session for parents
of children with special needs to discuss the
newly reauthorized Individuals with Disabilities
Education Improvement Act (IDEIA).
Topics will include:
- changes in discipline procedures,
- amending the Individual Education Plan
(IEP) without an Admission, Review and
Dismissal (ARD) committee meeting, and
- changes in ARD committee membership and
attendance.
