ESC REGION 12 ACCEPTING EDUCATOR
& SCHOOL BOARD NOMINATIONS
Outstanding teachers, school boards,
and superintendents deserve to be recognized for their
contributions to our schools. Several prestigious
awards exist to help honor these educators for their
efforts contributing to educational excellence.
Texas Education Agency’s Teacher
of the Year Award honors excellence in classroom education,
showcasing educators whose efforts and example inspire
their students, colleagues, and communities. Candidates
must be nominated by the superintendent of their district.
Outstanding Texas administrators are
honored through the Texas Association of School Boards’
Superintendent of the Year Award. This awards program
recognizes public school administrators who show strong
leadership skills, dedication to improving the quality
of education in their school districts, commitment
to public support and involvement in education, and
the ability to build good employee relations among
teachers and staff members.
Any local board holding membership
in TASB may nominate its superintendent.
The Texas Association of School Administrators’
School Board Award honors school boards demonstrating
outstanding dedication and rendering ethical service
to the children of Texas.
Any Texas superintendent who is a member
of TASA and who has been serving in his/her current
position since July 1, 2002, may nominate his / her
board of trustees.
