RESOURCE NIGHT FOR PARENTS
OF STUDENTS WITH
SPECIAL NEEDS TO BE HELD MAY 10
Not only does Education Service Center (ESC) Region
12 help educators by providing professional training
and alternative teacher certification, the center
also focuses on the importance of involving parents
throughout the education of their children. One of
the most important things parents can do for themselves
and their children is to stay aware of the resources
available to them.
To assist parents with students who have special
needs, ESC Region 12 will host an agency resource
night for parents of students with disabilities at
6:30-8 p.m., Monday May 10 at ESC Region 12 at 2102
W. Loop 340 (Bagby & Hwy 6).The event is free
and will feature several agencies and information
including The Association of Retarded Citizens (ARC),
Mental Health and Mental Retardation (MHMR), the Texas
Special Needs Network and ESC Region 12.
