ESC Region 12 TO HOST EDUCATION JOB FAIR
WACO, TEXAS— Despite the cuts in school funding,
good teachers, administrators, and support staff are
still needed in area schools. At the present time,
there are nearly 200 job openings in the Region 12
area which includes Bell, Bosque, Coryell, Falls,
Freestone, Hamilton, Hill, Lampasas, Limestone, Mills,
McLennan and Navarro counties.
Individuals looking for a job in education are encouraged
to revise and update their resumes for the 13th Annual
Region 12 Education Job Fair. The job fair will be
held 2 p.m. - 5:30 p.m, Wednesday, April 21 at the
Education Service Center (ESC) Region 12 at 2102 W.
Loop 340 (Bagby & Hwy 6).
"We are proud to host a job fair that is free,
open to the public and that will provide job opportunities
to those interested in working in the education field
specifically," said Senior Director of Human
Resources Leslie Bennett.
Approximately 20 districts and charter schools in
Central Texas will be recruiting educational positions
for the upcoming 2004-2005 school year. Job seekers
should bring resumes, college transcripts, and all
applicable education certificates. Participating schools
will have information on available positions and some
will conduct on-site interviews. Application forms
for all participating school districts will be provided.
Representatives from the Region 12 Teacher Preparation
& Certification Program (TPCP) will also be available
to visit with individuals who have their bachelor’s
degrees and are interested in becoming a teacher.
Any school district still interested in participating
in the Region 12 Job Fair should contact Sharon Barton

employment, but are unable to attend the fair may
review the Region 12 education job openings list from
8:30 a.m.- 4:30 p.m. at ESC Region 12 or online at
