Curriculum and Instruction Grade Placement Committee Training ~ Designed
for campus and district administrators and counselors
to provide step-by-step instructions for the
forms and processes for retention and promotion
of students under the new mandates through TAC
101. |
GT Training for Administrators Counselors ~ Participants will explore the nature and needs
of gifted and talented students, including latest
legislative and TEA requirements for gifted
education. This session will satisfy the six
hours of state-required G/T training for Administrators
and Counselors (Chapter 89.2 Subchapter A of
19 TAC). |

New Century Educational Leadership Program
(NCELP)
This program provides the opportunity for an
individual to complete requirements for a principal
certificate and a graduate degree while maintaining
a leadership position in a supporting district. Two
semesters are offered each year.

School Board Training
Training designed to orient school board member with
the Texas Education Code. School Board Training focuses
on how to create effective teams, assess team performance,
and develop a team growth plan. This training also facilitates
collaboration between the Board of Trustees and the
Superintendent to create a shared vision for the district.
- Level 1 - Orientation - Orientation to
the Texas Education Code
(for new board members - 3 hours)
- Level 1 - Update - Update to the Texas
Education Code
(for experienced board members - 2 hours)
- Level 2 - Team Building - This training
is for all school board members and superintendents

- Level 3 - Continuing Education - This training
is for all school board members and superintendents.

Superintendents' Institute
The focus
of the Superintendents’ Institute is
for superintendents in their first three years of practice.
However, all superintendents are invited to participate.
An ESC Region 12 Advisory Board develops the format
